Special Guest Speaker - May 11th

We are excited to announce our guest speaker is:

Dr. Fran Bagenal
Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics
University of Colorado, Boulder


Dr. Bagenal is the team leader of the plasma investigations on NASA’s New Horizons mission to Pluto and the Juno mission to Jupiter.   Her expertise is on the study of charged particles trapped in planetary magnetic fields and the interaction of plasmas with the atmospheres of planetary objects.  She will be sharing some of the exciting discoveries that her team has made at Jupiter and how Juno is changing our understanding of gas giants.


The presentation will be on Friday, May 11th in the Small Theatre at the Saskatchewan Science Centre starting at 7:30 pm.  Mark your calendars and come join us for this rare opportunity to hear from one of the top planetary plasma scientists in the world.
