In alignment with the Saskatchewan Science Centre, the Kalium Observatory is temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please click here for more information.

The Kalium Observatory at the Saskatchewan Science Centre offers FREE public observing throughout the year. The events are open to individuals, families, or small groups of any age. The Kalium Observatory is operated by volunteers from the RASC Regina Centre. Objects that are regularly viewed when visible include the Sun, the Moon, planets, double stars, colorful stars, star clusters, galaxies, and nebulas. Special events, when visible from Regina, include: solar and lunar eclipses, comets, occultations of stars by the Moon, shadow transits of Jupiter’s moons across the face of the planet, passes of the International Space Station, and Iridium satellite flares.
